Groove metal veterans DevilDriver have announced their eleventh studio album, Strike And Kill, set for release July 10 via Napalm Records.
Alongside the announcement, the band has unleashed the album’s opening track, “Dig Your Own Grave”, delivering a first taste of the record’s unrelenting aggression.

Frontman Dez Fafara comments on the album’s direction:
“My headspace hasn’t changed — I have not become complacent or soft in my view of the world or in my music. Metal is our outlet… on this record we focused on getting it all out lyrically, backed with savage, relentless music that fuels the heavy California groove like no other.”
He adds:
“DevilDriver has never sounded like any other band. We do our own thing in our own way… we are here to Strike And Kill.”
“Dig Your Own Grave” arrives as a blistering introduction to the album, combining machine-gun riffing, punishing grooves, and Fafara’s signature venomous delivery. Lyrically, the track explores the consequences of reckless decisions and self-destruction.
Following the success of their Dealing With Demons releases, the band leans further into their signature blend of groove metal, melodic death metal, and blackened textures on Strike And Kill, aiming for a more visceral and back-to-basics approach.
The album will be available in multiple formats, including limited edition vinyl variants and digital release.
In support of the new record, DevilDriver will hit the road this summer for a North American tour alongside Upon A Burning Body and Ov Sulfur. The trek kicks off August 14 in San Diego, CA, and runs through September 5 in Anaheim, CA.
