Edinburgh’s progressive post-metal band DVNE has released Live At The Biscuit Factory, a digital live session out now via Metal Blade Records, capturing the raw energy of their 2024 album Voidkind. Recorded in an intimate setting, the session features four tracks—Eleonora, Sarmatae, Abode Of The Perfect Soul, and Cobalt Sun Necropolis—chosen to reflect the band’s rehearsal atmosphere and emotional connection to the material. “We wanted something that felt intimate and real,” DVNE shared, emphasizing the session’s authenticity. Stream or watch the full performance at orcd.co/biscuit-factory, and preview Voidkind at metalblade.com/dvne.

Formed in 2013 by Victor Vicart (guitars/vocals) and Dudley Tait (drums), DVNE—now a five-piece with Daniel Barter (guitars/vocals), Maxime Keller (keys), and Alexandros Keros (bass)—has risen through the ranks with albums like 2021’s Etemen Ænka and 2024’s Voidkind. The latter, lauded by Metal Hammer UK as a “candidate for post-metal album of the decade,” blends hypnotic soundscapes with direct, memorable riffs, aligning closer to their explosive live sound. Critics like Fuze and Everything Is Noise have praised its riffs and stunning depth, calling it a genre highlight.

DVNE is currently on a European tour supporting Voidkind, which began last week and runs through August. They play De Casino in Sint-Niklaas, Belgium, tomorrow, May 6, with further stops in Oslo, Berlin, Athens, and festivals like Rock for People and ArcTanGent. For fans of Cult of Luna or Isis, this live session and tour are unmissable. Stream Live At The Biscuit Factory now and catch DVNE on the road!
