German power metallers ETERNITY’S END have released the official video for “Sword In The Storm,” the second single from their upcoming fourth studio album, Titanblood, due November 6 via Scarlet Records.
Inspired by Michael Moorcock’s Elric of Melniboné and his cursed, soul-drinking sword Stormbringer, “Sword In The Storm” dives headfirst into the darker fantasy themes running throughout the new record.
The track opens with a blast beat-driven passage carrying hints of symphonic black metal before moving into high-speed technical riffing, thrash influences, and expansive symphonic arrangements. An anthemic chorus gives way to a mid-song guitar and keyboard duel that recalls the melodic intensity of early CHILDREN OF BODOM.
The accompanying video was produced by Grasser Production.
Titanblood marks the first ETERNITY’S END album featuring vocalist Mike Livas, known for his work with SILENT WINTER and BLOODORN. He joins a lineup led by guitarist Christian Muenzner, whose extensive résumé includes OBSCURA, NECROPHAGIST, and PARADOX.
The album was produced, mixed, and mastered by drummer Hannes Grossmann at Mordor Sound Studios, with cover artwork created by Dimitar Nikolov.
Musically, Titanblood pushes ETERNITY’S END through fast, aggressive, and technical power metal built around soaring vocals, anthemic choruses, intricate harmonies, and dueling solos, with some riffs pushing into technical thrash territory. The record also brings back some of the progressive and symphonic elements heard on the band’s debut while combining them with a heavier approach.
While Titanblood is not a traditional concept album, its individual songs explore dark fantasy stories influenced by authors including Robert E. Howard, Michael Moorcock, and Edgar Allan Poe, alongside video games such as Dark Souls.
The previously released “Ravenheart” served as the album’s first single.
Titanblood will be available November 6 on digipak CD, digital formats, and a limited vinyl pressing of 300 marbled yellow LPs.
