German power metal band ETERNITY’S END have released a lyric video for “The Abyss Watchers,” the third single from their upcoming fourth studio album, Titanblood, scheduled for release on November 6, 2026, through Scarlet Records.
Inspired by the Abyss Watchers characters from the Dark Souls video game series, the track explores the band’s progressive metal influences, drawing from the early works of DREAM THEATER and SYMPHONY X.
Described as the most progressive composition on Titanblood, “The Abyss Watchers” begins with a subdued acoustic interpretation of its chorus before developing into a heavier arrangement featuring complex time signatures, technical guitar riffs, and an extended instrumental section. The song incorporates neoclassical metal and jazz fusion elements, highlighting the band’s technical approach to songwriting.
The accompanying lyric video was created by Stefano Mastronicola.
Led by guitarist Christian Muenzner, known for his previous work with OBSCURA, NECROPHAGIST, and PARADOX, ETERNITY’S END continue to combine traditional European power metal with progressive and technical influences.
Titanblood marks the band’s first album featuring vocalist Mike Livas, who has previously performed with SILENT WINTER and BLOODORN. The record was produced, mixed, and mastered by drummer Hannes Grossmann at Mordor Sound Studios, with cover artwork created by Dimitar Nikolov.
The upcoming release features ten tracks combining fast-paced power metal, intricate guitar harmonies, technical riffing, and melodic vocal arrangements. The album also revisits some of the progressive and symphonic elements present on the band’s debut while incorporating heavier influences, including passages approaching technical thrash metal.
Although Titanblood is not a traditional concept album, its individual songs explore dark fantasy narratives inspired by authors Robert E. Howard, Michael Moorcock, and Edgar Allan Poe, alongside video games such as Dark Souls.
