Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee Glenn Hughes, the legendary vocalist, bassist, and songwriter, is back with his new solo album, Chosen, set for release on September 5, 2025, via Frontiers Music Srl. Known for his distinctive blend of hard rock, soul, and funk, Hughes delivers an explosive and dynamic record after a nine-year solo hiatus since 2016’s Resonate. The title track, “Chosen,” accompanied by a vibrant music video, is out now, showcasing Hughes’ powerful voice and introspective songwriting.

Hughes shares: “Songwriting is deeply personal to me, and I generally write and record when I have something to say. Chosen is about the human condition, love, hope, faith, and acceptance. I write about how I feel on the inside and not externally. My life is lived from within, in the present moment. It’s an album of soul food, and I’ve never been so grateful, right here, on planet earth. Music is the healer!”

Produced by Hughes and featuring guitarist Soren Andersen, drummer Ash Sheehan, and keyboardist Bob Fridzema, the record balances gritty riffs with melodic depth.
