Death/doom band Innumerable Forms, featuring members of Dream Unending, Sumerlands, Iron Lung, Power Trip, Mammoth Grinder, and Genocide Pact, have unveiled their third LP, Pain Effulgence, set for release on August 22, 2025, through Profound Lore Records. The album’s lead single, Impulse, is available to stream now, showcasing the band’s signature blend of angry, dark death/doom.

Pre-orders for CD, LP, MC, and digital formats, along with merch, are open at the official site. Founded by vocalist Justin DeTore, alongside bassist/guitarist Chris Ulsh, guitarist Jensen Ward, and drummer Connor Donegan, Pain Effulgence marks their most powerful release yet, building on the foundation laid by Punishment In Flesh and Philosophical Collapse (2022). Drawing from early ‘90s Finnish death metal and UK death/doom influences like Paradise Lost and Anathema, the album delivers a towering, imposing sound likened to “an immense ancient stone of granite being lowered upon you,” blending overwhelming darkness with mournful triumph.

Produced by Arthur Rizk (Power Trip, Cavalera Conspiracy, Tomb Mold) and featuring artwork by Katie Muller, the record spans eight tracks:

  1. Impulse
  2. Indignation
  3. Blotted Inside
  4. Dissonant Drift
  5. Ressentiment
  6. Overwhelming Subjugation
  7. Pain Effulgence
  8. Austerity And Attrition

DeTore describes the album as “bleak—full of resentment, repression, and spiritual exile, yet there’s a constant refusal to submit,” with lyrics reflecting inner torment and a defense of personal dignity. Additional previews are expected in the coming weeks.
