New York hardcore veterans MADBALL have released their tenth studio album, Not Your Kingdom, available now via Nuclear Blast. Marking another milestone in the band’s decades-long career, the album combines the streetwise aggression that defined their legacy with a more introspective lyrical approach while maintaining the relentless energy that has made them one of hardcore’s most enduring acts.
Leading the release is the new single, “Don’t MisStep,” a 1-minute, 34-second burst of classic MADBALL intensity. The track captures the band’s unmistakable New York hardcore sound.
The accompanying music video was co-directed by vocalist Freddy Cricien and Dave Causa, who also handled filming and editing. Additional footage was provided by Drew Stone and Leon Rockel.
Recorded at The Boneyard Studios in Nashville, Tennessee, Not Your Kingdom also features additional interludes recorded by Jeff “Stress” Davis and Chuck Treece at Chop Shop Studios. Production and engineering were handled by Andrew Baylis, Aiden Thompson, and Grady Saxman, while Lee Rouse completed the album’s mixing and mastering. To support the new album, MADBALL are currently touring Europe before returning to North America for a series of Canadian and U.S. performances, followed by dates in Mexico and an appearance at Louder Than Life in Louisville, Kentucky.
