Swedish Viking metal band Månegarm have announced their 12th studio album, Edsvuren, set for release on August 29, 2025, via Napalm Records. Marking their 30th anniversary, the band—Erik Grawsiö (vocals/bass), Markus Andé (guitars), and Jakob Hallegren (drums)—delivers a diverse sonic journey blending Viking, black, and folk metal. The 11-track album features traditional Nordic instruments, with powerful opener “I skogsfruns famn” paying homage to the forest spirit Skogsfru, while “Till gudars följe” evokes a Viking longhouse feast. Tracks like “Likgökens fest” bring hypnotic black metal intensity, and the title track “Edsvuren” showcases guest vocalists Ellinor Videfors, Lea Grawsiö Lindström, and Liv Hope Lenard, alongside Jan Liljekvist’s violin, flute, and cello.

Recorded and mixed by Pelle Saether at Studio Underground, mastered by Sverker Widgren at Wing Studios, with artwork by Kris Verwimp, Edsvuren promises orchestral finesse and ancient fury. Pre-order at lnk.to/MANEGARM-Edsvuren. Månegarm will support the release with live shows, starting, May 30, at Dark Troll Festival in Schweinsburg, Germany, followed by Hellfest (June 20), Wacken Festival (August 2), their own Manegarm Open Air (August 29) in Norrtälje, Sweden, and Heavy Metal X’Mass in Mexico City (December 13).
