Following months of relentless rumors and fever-pitch speculation, Metallica have officially confirmed their Life Burns Faster residency at Sphere in Las Vegas. The eight-show run is set for October 1 and 3, 15 and 17, 22 and 24, and 29 and 31, 2026, bringing the band’s signature scale and intensity into one of the most technologically advanced venues on the planet.
Continuing the No Repeat Weekend tradition first introduced with the 2023 launch of their M72 World Tour, each Thursday and Saturday pairing will feature entirely different setlists, with no songs repeated across the two nights. It’s a format that has redefined the live Metallica experience in recent years, and at Sphere, it promises to reach new dimensions.
Two-night No Repeat Weekend tickets and single-night tickets go on sale March 6 at 10am PT. Ticket registration is open now, with additional information on pre-sales, enhanced experiences, and travel packages available through the band’s official Sphere portal.
Metallica’s position at the forefront of large-scale live production is long established. Since kicking off in spring 2023, the M72 World Tour has drawn more than four million fans across Europe, North America, the Pacific Rim, and the Middle East, with performances widely regarded among the strongest of the band’s four-decade career.

The Sphere residency will see staples and deep cuts from across Metallica’s catalog amplified by the venue’s immersive capabilities. Featuring the world’s highest-resolution wraparound LED display, Sphere Immersive Sound engineered for precision clarity throughout the venue, and multi-sensory 4D production elements, the shows aim to deliver a fully enveloping experience, whether fans have previously seen the band from the stadium rafters, in intimate theaters, or inside the famed Snake Pit.

Drummer Lars Ulrich reflected on seeing U2 open Sphere in 2023, recalling that within moments he knew Metallica had to take on the challenge. The residency, he noted, represents another opportunity to reinvent how the band connects with audiences in a live setting and to push their production to the next level.
Produced by Live Nation and presented by inKind, Metallica: Life Burns Faster at Sphere signals yet another evolution for a band that has spent over 40 years redefining what arena-scale metal can achieve.
Eight nights. No repeats. A new frontier in live performance.
