Greek symphonic metal band Mystfall have unveiled “Whispers In The Tempest”, the first single from their upcoming sophomore album, Embers Of A Dying World, due out March 20 via Scarlet Records. The track offers an evocative introduction to the band’s next chapter, blending sweeping orchestration, cinematic atmosphere, and the commanding soprano of frontwoman Marialena Trikoglou.
Serving as the opening cut on the album, “Whispers In The Tempest” sets the tone with dark, dreamlike textures and a sense of urgency that mirrors the record’s broader themes. Embers Of A Dying World explores an alternative dimension where dreams and nightmares collide, examining the consequences of humanity’s actions on Earth and questioning whether hope can survive in a world on the brink.
The album was produced, mixed, and mastered by Dionisis Christodoulatos (Sorrowful Angels) at CFN Recordings Studios, while the striking cover and full artwork were created by Giannis Nakos of Remedy Art Design (Kamelot, Amaranthe, Evergrey). Musically, Mystfall’s sound will resonate with fans of Nightwish, Epica, Within Temptation, Xandria, and cinematic composers like Two Steps From Hell.
Embers Of A Dying World will be released on digipak CD and digital formats and features ten tracks with a total running time of 38 minutes, unfolding as a cohesive symphonic metal opera filled with atmosphere, emotion, and narrative depth.
With “Whispers In The Tempest”, Mystfall invite listeners into a haunting and majestic soundscape, one that questions the fate of our world while celebrating the enduring power of the human spirit.
