Brazilian thrash metallers Nervosa have dropped their new single “Ghost Notes”, taken from their upcoming sixth studio album Slave Machine, out April 3 via Napalm Records.
The band shares:
“Strong and heavy riffs with a lot of groove showing deep feelings in a very poetic way, this song is definitely special n many ways.”
Once again teaming up with producer Martin Furia of German thrash legends Destruction, Nervosa bridge old-school thrash with modern precision. The result signals a fierce new era for the international metal heroines.
With Slave Machine, Nervosa sharpen their blades even further. Having conquered stages at global festivals like Wacken Open Air and Hellfest, the band now doubles down on speed, and aggression.
Following 2023’s Jailbreak, which marked Amaral’s debut as lead vocalist, the new record pushes the band’s dynamic even further — more brutal, more melodic, and unapologetically rooted in thrash tradition.
The band states:
“Slave Machine is the most brutal and melodic album of Nervosa, and we are proud to take this step further, keeping our roots.”
Across 12 tracks, the five-piece deliver an unrelenting assault. From the menacing opener “Impending Doom” to the title track’s high-velocity charge, the album balances ferocity and groove. “Ghost Notes”, storms forward with precision and power, while “Beast Of Burden” shows the band at their harshest. Anthemic moments like “You Are Not A Hero” and “Crawling For Your Pride” reinforce Nervosa’s standing as modern thrash frontrunners.
