Dark folk duo share live video for “Ragnarök”; album arrives September 18
Siberian dark folk duo NYTT LAND have announced their new live album, Ritual of Stone Sun (Live 2026), set for release digitally on September 18.
The album captures a career-spanning performance held in Moscow on March 22, 2026, marking the spring equinox. Natalia and Anatoly Pakhalenko built the performance around the transition into spring and the awakening of nature, drawing from the ancient traditions and rituals that have shaped NYTT LAND throughout their career.
“Ritual of Stone Sun is dedicated to the spring transition and the awakening of nature,” vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Anatoly Pakhalenko explains. “Many of the songs from the album are performed today by the nomadic people of Siberia during ceremonies, shamanic rituals and folk festivals.”
Alongside the announcement, NYTT LAND have released a live video for “Ragnarök,” one of the duo’s longtime concert staples.

Originally appearing on NYTT LAND’s 2018 album Oðal, “Ragnarök” has remained a signature part of the group’s live performances. The song combines Anatoly’s throat singing and talharpa with Natalia’s hypnotic chanting and percussion, bridging the duo’s earlier explorations of Norse mythology with their increasingly prominent focus on Siberian heritage and shamanic traditions.
The live video was filmed by Sergei Kaputanuk, with editing by Natalia Pakhalenko and color grading and post-production handled by Anatoly Pakhalenko. Sound editing and post-production were completed by Anatoly and Natalia Pakhalenko.
The album takes its name from the stone sun, one of Siberia’s oldest symbols, with roots stretching back to ancient rock art. The symbol remains connected to rituals practiced throughout the region today. That history is reflected throughout Ritual of Stone Sun, whose nine-song tracklist reaches across NYTT LAND’s catalog, combining material from their recent studio work with songs from their earlier Nordic period.
