Dark folk duo NYTT LAND are inviting listeners into a shamanic live ritual with the premiere of their full concert film, Ritual of Stone Sun (Live 2026), ahead of the live album’s digital release on September 18 via Season of Mist.
Filmed during the duo’s March 22, 2026 performance in Moscow, the concert coincided with the spring equinox and draws from more than two decades of NYTT LAND’s exploration of ancient traditions, Siberian ceremonial music, throat singing, percussion and folk instrumentation.
“Ritual of Stone Sun is dedicated to the spring transition and the awakening of nature,” vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Anatoly Pakhalenko explains. “Many of the songs from the album are performed today by the nomadic people of Siberia during ceremonies, shamanic rituals and folk festivals.”
The career-spanning set reaches from NYTT LAND’s earlier Nordic-inspired material to their more recent exploration of Siberian shamanic traditions. Among the highlights is “Ragnarök,” originally released on 2018’s Oðal, which combines Pakhalenko’s throat singing with the distinctive sound of the talharpa.
The performance also includes “U-Gra,” from 2021’s Ritual. Built around pounding percussion and Natalia Pakhalenko’s hypnotic vocals, the track has become one of the duo’s most recognized pieces, accumulating more than three million plays across YouTube and Spotify.
While Ritual of Stone Sun (Live 2026) captures much of the March performance, the full concert video contains three additional songs not included on the live album: “Taiga,” “Totem” and “Tygir Tayii (Heavenly Sacrifice).” All three appear on NYTT LAND’s latest studio album, Aba Khan, released in February through Prophecy Productions.
The full Ritual of Stone Sun (Live 2026) concert is streaming now on the Season of Mist YouTube channel. The live album arrives on all digital platforms Friday, September 18.
NYTT LAND will also head to Australia in November for their first Australian tour, co-headlining with Mortiis and joined by special guest TiR. The Southern Ritual Australian Tour begins November 19 in Sydney before visiting Brisbane, Melbourne and Adelaide.
