Swedish melodic death metal band Orbit Culture has released their new single “The Tales of War” today, May 7, 2025, accompanied by an official music video via Century Media Records. The track, streaming now at orbitcultureband.lnk.to/TheTalesOfWar-Single, and the video, directed by Riivata Visuals, mark the band’s first output since their 2023 album Descent and EP The Forgotten. Mixed and mastered by Buster Odeholm, the 5:08 track blends groove-heavy riffs with progressive and atmospheric elements, showcasing their evolution.

Formed in 2013 in Eksjö, Orbit Culture—vocalist/guitarist Niklas Karlsson, lead guitarist Richard Hansson, bassist Fredrik Lennartsson, and drummer Christopher Wallerstedt—has built a reputation for their dynamic live shows, recently supporting Slipknot and Machine Head. “The Tales of War,” produced by Odeholm and Karlsson, serves as a bridge to a larger project, with the band teasing a new chapter after cryptic Instagram posts decoding to the song’s title. While fans speculate a new album, possibly titled Death Above Life based on website hints, the band’s narrative of a “more ambitious project” remains vague—potentially a marketing tactic to build hype rather than a concrete reveal.
Orbit Culture is set to join In Flames in Leipzig on June 5 and headline Tuska Festival in Helsinki (June 27-29). Stream and watch now!
