Power metallers Warkings have teamed up with German band Orden Ogan to release their new single “Genghis Khan,” a thunderous homage to the legendary Mongol leader, out today, May 7, 2025. The track, part of Warkings’ upcoming fifth album Armageddon (set for release on July 4 via Napalm Records), dropped with an official video. Fans can stream or pre-order at lnk.to/WARKINGS-Armageddon.
Formed in 2018, Warkings—Tribune (vocals), Crusader (guitar), Viking (bass), Spartan (drums), and Morgana le Fay (growls)—are known for their theatrical, history-inspired power metal. “Genghis Khan” captures the horde’s relentless spirit with galloping riffs, soaring choruses, and Orden Ogan’s guest vocals, painting a vivid picture of conquest and brotherhood. Lyrics like “Ride with the horde… unstoppable, unbreakable, and born for conquest!” evoke the Khan’s iron resolve, though the song simplifies his legacy into a romanticized warrior ethos, glossing over the brutal complexities of his empire’s expansion.

The collaboration, produced by Felix Heldt and mixed by Jacob Hansen, is one of several on Armageddon, alongside features from Dominum and Subway to Sally. Warkings will bring their war chants to stages like Graspop Metal Meeting (June 19) and Rockharz (July 3). For fans of Powerwolf or Sabaton, this single is a rallying cry to join the horde.
