UK metal band Shrapnel dropped their latest single, “Kingmaker,” today, accompanied by a music video. The track, described as an “earth-shattering and expansive display of modern metal,” follows their 2024 album In Gravity, out now via Candlelight Records. The band commented, “We’re wrapping the writing for a new record and have a busy summer… Now is the perfect time to unleash ‘Kingmaker’ – we hope to see as many of you as possible belting this out with us on the road!”

In Gravity features 10 tracks, including “Amber Screams” and “Absolution,” blending intricate compositions, Gojira-inspired heaviness, and modern melodic elements. The album has earned praise from Metal Hammer, Kerrang!, and Distorted Sound for its songwriting excellence. Other live dates include June 7 in Norwich, UK, at Brickmakers, and August 24 in London at Cart & Horses with Chemicide.
