THE HU have unveiled the official music video for “Grey Hun,” the latest single from their upcoming third studio album, HUN, due out July 24 via Better Noise Music.
The new track highlights the Mongolian band’s unmistakable blend of traditional instrumentation, throat singing, and modern rock, continuing the evolution of their signature “Hunnu Rock” sound. Driven by powerful percussion and cinematic melodies, “Grey Hun” carries an uplifting message about individuality and self-acceptance.
““Grey Hun” is a song that encourages everyone to be comfortable with just being themselves,” explains band member Enkush. “It started with composing the riff as I imagined a man riding his horse through a vast landscape. From there, it took a while for us to finish the song because we wanted to make sure to clearly communicate the positive message of the song.”
The release follows the band’s recent single “Lost Soul,” which features Jonny Hawkins of NOTHING MORE. The collaboration marks the first time the two artists have worked together, with the track currently climbing Active Rock radio charts.
HUN finds THE HU expanding the scope of their globally recognized sound across eleven tracks inspired by Mongolian history, mythology, and culture while maintaining broad international appeal. The band says they spent several years crafting the album and are already planning their next creative chapter.
“We took our time to do this right, and we’re so glad that we’re almost ready to release what we have worked on these past few years,” the band shares. “Now, we are also focusing on the performances and working out a brand-new setlist. We want to play bigger venues so we can do extensive production, bring in some amazing elements of our culture, and share these ideas with our fans. We also already have some amazing ideas for another album.”
