THE HU have released their third full-length album, HUN, available now on digital platforms and CD through Better Noise Music. The Mongolian Hunnu Rock pioneers also unveiled the official music video for “Horsemen,” while vinyl editions and a deluxe box set are scheduled for release on September 11.
The album’s title, HUN, translates to “human” in Mongolian and reflects the band’s vision of exploring shared human experiences. Originally conceived under the working title Between the Heaven and Earth, the record embraces themes of introspection, identity, and the connection between humanity and nature through a blend of traditional Mongolian instrumentation and heavy metal.
“Our third album tested many boundaries and different techniques to perfect the combination of traditional instruments with heavy metal music genres,” said band member Jaya. “The concept of the HUN album comes from universal experiences we all go through collectively as humans in this world. Our hope is to remind listeners of the importance of introspection through songs ranging from slow ballads to fast rhythmic anthems.”
The newly released video for “Horsemen” pays tribute to the legendary Mongolian warriors whose discipline, intelligence, courage, and mobility earned them the nickname “Army of the Heavens.”
“This song celebrates their spirit and honors the qualities that made them legendary,” the band explained. “It’s a reminder that true power comes from discipline, wisdom, and unity.”
HUN features 11 tracks that expand THE HU’s signature Hunnu Rock sound, combining throat singing and traditional Mongolian instruments—including the morin khuur, tumur khuur, tsuur, and tovshuur—with modern heavy metal. The digital edition also includes “Lost Soul” featuring Jonny Hawkins of NOTHING MORE, marking the first collaboration between the two acts. The song is currently climbing the Active Rock charts.

The album is available now digitally and on CD worldwide. Vinyl collectors will have multiple editions to choose from when the physical vinyl releases arrive on September 11, including standard and retailer-exclusive variants, along with a limited Napalm Records box set.
Following a successful North American headline tour, THE HU will return to the United States in August as special guests on Rob Zombie and Marilyn Manson’s tour before embarking on an extensive United Kingdom and European headlining run with support from SKÁLD later this fall.
Since breaking onto the international scene in 2019, THE HU have become one of heavy music’s most distinctive acts, merging Mongolia’s centuries-old musical traditions with modern metal to create the globally recognized sound they call Hunnu Rock.
