Greek post-metal band UNVERKALT have unveiled “Introjects”, the third and final advance single from their upcoming album Héréditaire, due February 27, 2026 via Season of Mist.

Marking a decisive step into darker territory, “Introjects” showcases the band’s newly sharpened blackened edge while preserving the cinematic atmosphere and emotional depth that have defined their sound.

The band explains that “Introjects” explores the process of shedding inherited beliefs and identities: “We often carry ideas that were never ours. This song is about recognizing that weight — and violently breaking free from it.”

Guitarist and primary composer Themis Ioannou adds that Héréditaire represents a deliberate fusion of his two favorite genres, black metal and post-metal, resulting in what he calls the band’s “heaviest and most heartfelt” material to date.

The accompanying video, produced by UNVERKALT and directed by Ioannou at RAWBITE Studio, visually mirrors the song’s themes of rupture and rebirth, emphasizing the album’s broader confrontation with generational trauma and internalized constructs.

Héréditaire follows UNVERKALT’s previous explorations of atmosphere and emotion but pushes further into extreme territory, featuring nine tracks that blend soaring melodies, crushing riffs, and cathartic black metal eruptions. The album also includes a guest appearance from Rotting Christ frontman Sakis Tolis on the track “I, The Deceit”.

Héréditaire arrives February 27, 2026 on Season of Mist and is available for pre-order now.
