Austrian black metal force Verba Serpentis has released the official video for Monuments Of Dust, taken from their debut EP Ophidic Gnosis (October 2024).
Founded in 2024, Verba Serpentis quickly carved out their sound with Ophidic Gnosis, a 26-minute descent into evocative melodies, ritualistic atmosphere, and venomous vocals. Produced by Stefan Traunmüller at Soundtempel Studio, the EP delivered a sharp, commanding debut that set the band apart in the burgeoning Austrian underground.
The new visual for Monuments Of Dust was filmed in the ruins of a church, its desolate collapse serving as the perfect backdrop for the song’s themes of transience, chaos, and the dissolution of the ego.

“For those who chase the hollow light of false gods and deny the power of darkness, will be left with monuments of dust. Destruction, chaos, and the death of the ego are necessary stages on the path to self-awareness. Many place their lives in the hands of others, waiting to be devoured instead of realizing their own existence and responsibility. This video is the manifestation of that truth.”
