Montreal, QC / Stockholm, SE, International progressive metal band VOIDCHASER return with their second full-length album, Interstellar I, due out April 9.

A sprawling sci-fi concept record, Interstellar I explores themes of technological overreach, systemic corruption, and deeply personal struggles surrounding identity, love, and survival. Set within a vast, lore-driven deep-space universe, the album pairs dense, layered instrumentation with soaring choruses and memorable melodic hooks, ensuring that every moment serves the narrative.

Musically, Interstellar I draws influence from Devin Townsend’s Ziltoid the Omniscient and Dream Theater’s Systematic Chaos, filtered through Voidchaser’s own modern and cinematic approach. Classic heavy metal foundations, echoing Deep Purple’s Machine Head and Black Sabbath’s Paranoid, further ground the band’s sound. The result is Voidchaser’s most ambitious and fully realized release to date, showcasing a clear leap in maturity and scope.

The album’s first single, “Welcome to the Terror Corp”, will be released on February 13.

FFO: Devin Townsend, Haken, Dream Theater, Scar Symmetry, Ayreon, Pagan’s Mind

Voidchaser will celebrate the release of Interstellar I with an exclusive album launch show on April 10 at Piranha Bar in Montreal, QC, performing the album in its entirety, alongside additional material.

Special guests include Omnivide and Jovian Storms.
