Finnish symphonic metal band Amberian Dawn have officially entered a new era, unveiling both a brand-new vocalist and their upcoming ninth studio album, Temptation’s Gates, set for release on June 26 via Napalm Records.
Stepping into the spotlight is Swedish-English singer Nicole Willerton, who replaces longtime frontwoman Capri following an amicable split due to scheduling conflicts. Founding member and primary composer Tuomas Seppälä expressed gratitude for Capri’s decade-long contribution while emphasizing excitement for the band’s future.
“Nicole brings new life, energy, and inspiration into the band,” Seppälä shared. “Her creativity and drive have already had a big impact on our new material.”
New Single “Temptation’s Gates” Out Now
To mark the announcement, the band has released the album’s title track, “Temptation’s Gates”, The track delivers relentless energy, blending fast-paced guitar work with the band’s signature orchestral layers and dramatic flair.
Seppälä described the song as a realization of a long-held vision:
“This song is pure intensity and relentless aggression from start to finish… no compromises.”
For Willerton, the track explores themes of identity and inner conflict, drawing inspiration from Charles Baudelaire’s Les Fleurs du mal:
“It’s about facing one’s inner desires… and finding liberation through that struggle.”

Temptation’s Gates signals a stylistic evolution for Amberian Dawn, leaning into a heavier, more guitar-driven direction while retaining their hallmark symphonic elements.
Seppälä notes that working with Willerton reignited the same creative spark he felt during the band’s early days:
“I truly feel that the band has been reborn.”
The album also showcases new dimensions in the band’s sound, including more prominent guitar work and even growled vocals—marking a first for the group.
