Italian death metallers FULCI return with a uniquely cinematic offering, unveiling Risorsero Dalla Tomba E Fu… L’Apocalisse!, a new soundtrack release tied to an upcoming horror short film of the same name. The one-sided 12” maxi-single will be released on May 1 via 20 Buck Spin.
Arriving on the heels of their acclaimed 2024 album Duck Face Killings, the release expands Fulci’s signature fusion of brutal death metal and cult horror into a more atmospheric, film-driven experience.
Horror, Cinema, and Death Metal Collide
Created in collaboration with director Domenico Montixi, the 30-minute short film blends paranormal horror with Spaghetti Western aesthetics, drawing direct inspiration from the works of legendary filmmaker Lucio Fulci, particularly City of the Living Dead and Four of the Apocalypse.
The film is set to begin its international festival run soon, with its trailer debuting at Fulcicon 2 in Milan, an event curated by the band to celebrate Fulci’s legacy and Italian genre cinema.
A Soundtrack of Atmosphere and Brutality
The maxi-single features a suite of new compositions that move between eerie, Lovecraftian soundscapes and Fulci’s trademark gore-soaked death metal. The release also includes a cover of Fabio Frizzi’s “Apoteosi Del Mistero”, originally from City of the Living Dead, further cementing the band’s deep connection to classic Italian horror.
Guest vocals on the track come from Nate Garrett of Spirit Adrift and Neon Nightmare.
Produced by the band, recorded at Spvn, and mixed/mastered by Stefano Santi, the release is completed with artwork by Lucas Ruggieri.

Decibel Magazine Tour 2026
Fulci will support the release with an extensive North American run as part of the Decibel Magazine Tour, joining Cryptopsy, who will perform their classic None So Vile in full, alongside Necrot and Blood Monolith.
