Spanish melodic death metal band BLOODHUNTER has unleashed a brand-new music video for their ferocious cover of “Human Insecticide“, originally performed by Canadian thrash legends Annihilator.
The track appears on the band’s upcoming studio album, Sons Of The Abandoned, due out June 12 through ROAR, a division of Reigning Phoenix Music.
The release follows the recent single “Threshold Of Hell,” which featured guest vocals from Fernando Ribeiro of Moonspell.
Guitarist Dani Arcos described the cover as:
“It’s a carefree, fun, and very raw song by Annihilator that I think fits well at BLOODHUNTER.”
Frontwoman Diva Satanica added:
“A classic from this thrash band that was super hard to sing due to its speedy verses. I had a blast singing through it!”
Sons Of The Abandoned Marks a New Chapter
Formed in Galicia, BLOODHUNTER has built a reputation through relentless touring and a sound that merges melodic aggression with atmospheric depth and groove-laden intensity.
Produced by renowned metal producer Tue Madsen, Sons Of The Abandoned is described as the band’s most personal and emotionally honest work to date. The album explores themes of identity, personal struggle, toxic environments, and generational alienation while balancing crushing riffs with melodic sophistication and dynamic songwriting contrasts.
