Blue Medusa Release Music Video For New Single “Flying Monkey”

Blue Medusa have released their second single, “Flying Monkey”, accompanied by an official music video. The project is fronted by former Arch Enemy vocalist Alissa White-Gluz and features guitarists Alyssa Day of Mindscar and Dani Sophia.

Touring members for the band currently include bassist Alicia Vigil of DragonForce and drummer Delaney Jaster of These Fading Visions. White-Gluz has also recently stepped into the frontwoman role for DragonForce.

Speaking about the new track, White-Gluz shared:

“‘Flying Monkey’ is exactly the kind of music I want to be making. I am so inspired by Dani and Alyssa. This Blue Medusa album is almost like writing my memoirs and I have loved every aspect of creating it.”

Guitarist Dani Sophia explained that the song was written during a transitional period in her life, with recurring nightmares influencing the melodies and atmosphere behind the track. Alyssa Day added that the song’s bridge section allowed her to experiment outside her usual harmonic comfort zone, resulting in what she described as a “quirky, sassy, techy little solo.”

The single continues to showcase Blue Medusa’s blend of modern metal aggression, melodic hooks, and emotionally driven songwriting as anticipation builds for the band’s forthcoming debut album.
