New Studio Album Arrives February 19, 2027 via BLKIIBLK
Greek power metal veterans FIREWIND have announced their new studio album, Gods, Myths & Titans, set for release on February 19, 2027 via BLKIIBLK. The record marks the band’s first release through the Frontiers Label Group metal imprint and sees FIREWIND diving deep into Greek mythology for a full-scale concept album.
Alongside the announcement, the band has unleashed the album’s first single, “The Legend of Achilles,” accompanied by an official lyric video.
Led by guitarist Gus G., FIREWIND have spent more than two decades developing their combination of melodic heavy metal, power metal and virtuosic guitar work. Gods, Myths & Titans expands that sound with cinematic and orchestral elements while building each song around figures and stories from Greek mythology.
Gus G. explains:
“We’ve wanted to make a concept album about Greek mythology for a long time, and finally we got around to it. It’s been two years in the making, and our goal was to create the most epic album in the history of the band. Adding cinematic and orchestral elements to our classic metal sound gave a whole new layer, enhancing the style of FIREWIND.”
He continues:
“Each track is a gate to a different myth. We went all in with the visual side as well and worked with Felipe Machado, who created unique artwork for every song. These are tales of power, glory, tragedy, and defiance.”
Introducing the first single, Gus G. adds:
“Today we give you the first single, and it’s about Achilles — one of the mightiest warrior legends to ever walk the earth. Turn up the volume and enter the realm of Gods, Myths & Titans.”

FIREWIND Enter the Realm of Greek Mythology
Gods, Myths & Titans unfolds as a concept-driven journey through the gods, heroes and legends of Greek mythology, with each track exploring a different story.
The album also marks the return of Henning Basse behind the microphone, rejoining Gus G., bassist Petros Christo and drummer Johan Nunez.
FIREWIND have incorporated orchestral arrangements and cinematic elements throughout the record, adding another dimension to the band’s established heavy and power metal sound. Songs including “Firegod” and “The Legend of Achilles” lean into the band’s melodic side with large choruses designed for the live stage, while Gus G.’s guitar work remains at the center of the record.
The visual presentation of Gods, Myths & Titans also plays into the album’s concept, with artist Felipe Machado creating individual artwork inspired by each song.
