German speed metallers KNIFE have announced their third studio album, Into Your Nightmare, set for release on December 18, 2026 via Napalm Records. Alongside the announcement, the band have unleashed the album’s first single and official music video, “Shadows.”
Blending speed metal, black metal and punk, Into Your Nightmare finds the four-piece pushing toward a heavier, wilder and darker version of the sound established across their previous releases.
The first taste arrives with “Shadows,” the album’s closing track, a rapid-fire blast that brings together many of the elements defining KNIFE’s approach.
The band comments:
“KNIFE are back with a vengeance. Once again, a raging tornado of pure speed metal is ascending from Hell. The first single, ‘Shadows,’ is fast as a shark, ready to break your neck. Join the pack of Black Leather Hounds and celebrate the first onslaught of our new album, Into Your Nightmare.”
KNIFE also offered a statement on the forthcoming record:

Opening track “Nightmare” begins the descent with sawing riffs, a crushing bass line and vocalist Vince Nihil commanding listeners to follow the band into the nightmare. “Sulphur” follows with a nod toward rock ’n’ roll, while “Teeth Of The Devil” mixes crust punk, thrash and death metal influences into one of the record’s most direct attacks.
“Sound Of The Requiem Bell” and instrumental “Home Came The Nameless Dead” bring classic ’80s heavy metal influences into the record without abandoning KNIFE’s aggressive approach. “Gehenna” then shifts the focus back toward speed metal with a melodic edge and a chorus designed for the live setting.
“Insanity” returns the record to darker territory before “Raging Metal” pays tribute to metal diehards in the spirit of the band’s 2020 Black Leather Hounds demo. “Gospel Of The Grotesque” draws from the more extreme side of ’80s metal before “Shadows” closes the album.

Into Your Nightmare will be released across multiple physical configurations, including limited vinyl variants, cassette, digipack CD and merchandise bundles, as well as digitally. Among the most limited editions is a signed test pressing restricted to 25 copies, while a milk and royal blue splatter vinyl edition featuring a bonus track and A2 poster is limited to 200 copies. KNIFE will also support the album with live appearances throughout Germany, including their Dark Gospel Over Germany run alongside SACRED STEEL, GAME OVER and CATBREATH, in addition to festival appearances.
