Death metallers MORBIDITY have announced their debut full-length album, Cemetery Onslaught, scheduled for release on December 18, 2026, through Iron Fortress Records. The nine-track record will be available on CD and digital formats, with preorders opening November 4.
To accompany the announcement, the band has released the first single, “Bursting Through The Flesh,” offering an introduction to the album’s old-school death metal approach.
Drawing inspiration from the early days of the genre, MORBIDITY incorporate influences from bands such as GORGUTS, CANNIBAL CORPSE, and REPULSION. Their music emphasizes aggressive guitar work, raw instrumentation, and horror-inspired lyrical themes rooted in death, decomposition, and the macabre.
The new single, “Bursting Through The Flesh,” explores a disturbing encounter with a decomposing corpse, developing into a narrative centered on bodily decay and grotesque imagery. Its subject matter reflects the horror themes that run throughout the upcoming album.
Cemetery Onslaught marks the band’s first full-length release
The album follows MORBIDITY‘s 2024 debut EP, Malignant Necropsy, expanding their catalog with nine compositions that continue their exploration of traditional death metal.
The track titles suggest a consistent focus on decomposition, reanimation, and physical deterioration, with songs including “Rest In Putridity,” “Altered Beyond Recognition,” and “Inhumane Reanimation.”
Cemetery Onslaught was recorded by Matt Aguilar at Furnace Lab Studios. Mixing and mastering were handled by Greg Wilkinson at Earhammer Studios, while GruesomeGraphx created the album artwork and band logo.
In addition to releasing the new album, Iron Fortress Records will reissue the band’s 2024 EP, Malignant Necropsy, on CD.
