Visitant Unleashes New Video Rubidium Ahead of In the Wake of Flame Tour

Blackened death metal band Visitant has unleashed the official video for Rubidium, the title track of their debut album released August 22 via Exitus Stratagem Records. The release marks a major moment for the band as they prepare to ignite their In the Wake of Flame Tour, a run across Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, and North Carolina with genre-defying allies IATT, culminating at the Tennessee Metal Devastation Fest.

Watch the Rubidium video here:

Lyrically, Rubidium explores the rise of a deity that feeds on human souls, fertilizing the forest floor where trees sprout human faces and worshippers willingly surrender to the soil. Guitarist Taylor Tidwell infused the song with serpentine riffs, while Anthony Lusk-Simone’s orchestration and drumming push the track into cinematic territory. The video captures this atmosphere with ritualistic imagery, underscoring the band’s blend of brutality and storytelling.

“The whole album feels like a journey,” says vocalist Chelsea Marrow. “After you listen to it from beginning to end, you feel like you were just on the biggest ride. It evokes all sorts of feels. Like damn… I feel like I was audibly hit by a big ol’ bus. In a good way—if there was a good way!”

Rubidium is a seven-track exploration of grief, betrayal, vengeance, and spiritual unrest. Combining orchestral grandeur with death metal aggression, the record has drawn comparisons to Gojira, Opeth, Naglfar, and Between the Buried and Me.
